129p Change 4 shipping and label printing solution. All
of your DoD shipping needs are met here, from Military Shipping Label (MSL), to Item Unique Identifier (UID) labels, including RFIDs and
automatic pack data submission to the Wide Area Work

Fast Turn-around, Simply and Reliably
Seeing thousands of pages in the DoD mandate just makes us cry...So, our mandate at SimplyRFID is to make everything simple and reliable: From data entry to printing, and WAWF submission.
- We monitor the DoD mandates and keep On-Demand software current. Messages help explain requirements and coach you through the data entry process ensuring proper shipment every time.
- Automatic serialization keeps track of all the serial numbers you use by CAGE (Commercial and Government Entity) code and NSN (National Stock Number). On-Demand knows the next in sequence, warning you if you try to re-use a number.
- Burst print speed: 50,000 labels in 3.7 hours (4"x2" non-RFID labels)
- Our synthetic labels are weather resistant for 3 years outdoors and last indefinitely indoors.
New in OD2K8.1:
- Create completely custom label
designs with a new freeform label designer
- Create custom import and export maps to integrate OD2K8.1 into Quickbooks
- Submit your entire Receiving
Report to the WAWF
- OD2K8.1 is now compliant
with all the new requirements in the Mil-Std-
129p Change 4.

MSL
Once you have a lot of existing shipments, the easiest way to make a shipment is to duplicate an existing one. On-Demand can copy a previous shipment and automatically change the dates and serial numbers to speed data entry. Of course, you need to find a previous shipment that is similar to your new shipment. On-Demand can search thousands of MSL’s or NSN’s to find a previous shipment. Wild-cards allow you to find MSLs without knowing the entire search term. For instance, you know the NSN starts with 2443* -- just enter a few characters and only display the matches. On-Demands powerful search engine handles millions of record searches in under one second.
RFID Tags
The new DoD RFID Mandate means you need to place an RFID tag on every shipment. You can print your RFID tags separately or in your MSL. Your MSL is only used on a few boxes -- RFID tags are used on every box. Don’t clutter your boxes with huge 4”x6” tags. Preprint your own RFID tags and peel - stick - ship™ on your own. On-Demand supports the SimplyRFID Traveler tag, too, for
even easier WAWF data entry. The RFID tags are printed with your company name for additional branding and can be produced on a 4”x2” tag, 4”x6” tag as part of the MSL, or 4”x3” Traveler tag. The Zebra printer does an internal verification of the RFID tag and does not require a separate external RFID reader.
Following the DoD Mandate, SimplyRFID created a synthetic label from it’s Traveler Tag. This tag is made with the same durable materials as the 1”x3” UID tag and is weather resistant outdoors for three years and indefinite life indoors.
Unit Pack
The Unit Pack label can be auto-serialized for multipack print requirements. While probably the most overlooked label, the Unit Pack is printed ten times as often as any other label. A single entry in the database can print thousands of Unit Pack labels. Several free-form fields allow you to add contract specific documentation terms.
UID
The DoD UID Mandate affects a few items over $5,000; but, this requirement will be moving towards all items supplied to the DoD. While UID has traditionally been viewed as expensive and painful, it’s not difficult for about 80% of all parts shipped to the DoD. The DoD mandate is really simple: Use a high quality tag, appropriate for your part, and make sure the barcode is printed accurately.

We teamed with Zebra to provide a synthetic label and chemical-resistant resin ribbon that works for over 80% of all parts requiring UID tagging. The initial version of On-Demand prints a 1”x3” tag that can be applied to metal, plastic, or wood parts.
Free Form Label Designer
New in OD2K8.1 is the ability to create and design your own label layouts. OD-2008 gave you full control over all of the military shipping labels, now you have complete control to create custom barcode labels for any application. Now you can use OD2K8.1 to meet your commercial barcoding and labeling needs. OD2K8.1 has become your one stop shop for label printing.
WAWF Receiving Report
In addition to the ability to submit your RFID data to WAWF and VIM-ASAP, you can now submit your entire Receiving Report to the Wide Area Workflow. Now you can use one piece of software to print the most up to date MSL, Unit Pack, RFID, and UID labels, as well as submit your Receiving Report, RFID pack data, and UID line item data. You can still use OD2K8.1 to submit your RFID data to VIM-ASAP or WAWF without taking advantage of the complete Receiving Report.
