FAQ > RFID Printers > My Zebra R110Xi is printing a high amount of VOID labels, can this be prevented?

Search the FAQ for entries containing:

If your printer is printing an unusually high number of VOID (RFID tags that can not be programmed properly) ensure that your printer is properly calibrated. See How to calibrate a Zebra R110Xi
 for more information on calibration.
If your printer has already been calibrated, visibly check your RFID labels for damage. A roll with too many damaged labels may be returned to SimplyRFiD for replacement.
Another possible fix is to do an "RFID Restore" :
1. Press the button labeled "Setup/Exit" on the front of your printer.
2. Press the button labeled "Previous" (also marked with an arrow pointing towards the left) until the display on your printer shows "RFID TAG CALIB" with "-RESTORE      RUN+" below it.
3. Press the button labeled with a "-" (negative/minus)
4. Enter your password (typically "1234") by using the button labeled with a "+" (positive/plus) to increment the digit you're currently modifying, and the button labeled with a "-" (negative/minus) to change to the next digit.
5. Once you have entered your password entirely, press the button labeled "Next/Save", then press the button labeled with a "-" (negative/minus).
6. If successful, your display should flash "PROG POSITION RESTORED". In this case, press the button labeled "Setup/Exit", then the button labeled "Next/Save"
.
You should also ensure that your printer has the latest firmware version installed. More recent RFID inlays will not properly program with old printer firmware versions. If you need a walkthrough for upgrading your printer firmware, please Contact an RFID Expert, or contact Zebra technical support.
