FAQ > NoxVault > How do I setup my computer to communicate with my NoxVault?
There are two different ways depending on which software you are running, either XP, Windows 7, or Vista.
Instructions for XP
1. Plug the USB cord that came with your NOX Vault into your NOX Vault, and USB side into your USB port on your computer.
2. You may see a window pop up in the lower right hand side of your computer that says installing hardware, let that run through. A window will pop up and ask you if would like to set up your NOX Vault, please hit the cancel button on the lower right of that screen.
3. After you have hit the cancel button, a window (active sync) should now pop up and say connected.
4. You may now go into my computer, then the device should say "mobile device", and you can double click that to open.
5. You should now see your folders in your NOX Vault and be able to add and remove!
Windows 7, and Vista
1. Plug the USB cord that came with your NOX Vault into your NOX Vault, and USB side into your USB port on your computer.
2.You may see a window pop up in the lower right hand of your computer that says installing device drivers. Please give that time to load and it will promt you when done.
3. A window will appear that asks if you would like to set up the device, or connect without setting up. You can hit the x out button at the top right hand of that window.
4. Next, you will go to my computer, find that device, and double click to open it. It may ask for you to accept the license agreement. Please hit accept.
5. You may now add and remove files from your device and it is now connected!
