Nox uses TCP/IP to communicate with all devices. If Nox is unable to connect to a particular device, such as a reader or camera, it is likely due to one of the following :
1. The device is not plugged into a network segment cohabitated by the Nox server.
2. The device is set to an IP address that is unreachable by the Nox server.
3. The device is not currently powered-on.
4. The Nox server does not have an exclusion setup in the Windows Firewall (or any other user-installed firewall) for the port that the device is using.
5. The device needs to be rebooted due to a power surge, power outage, or network issue.
6. There is a conflicting device setup on your network with the same IP address.
