Nox Core has a specific directory structure that must be maintained for Nox to be able to communicate with the various pieces of itself and give you a wonderful user experience. The directories currently being used for different functions can be found in the Setup page under "Directory". Herein you will find a brief description of what each of these paths do.
1. Config file : This is the path to, and name of, the configuration file that contains all the settings for Nox.
2. Instance root : Nox supports multiple "instances" of itself on one server, allowing you to maintain two separate copies of Nox for whatever purpose you deem fit. This variable cascades to the other directory settings within Nox to form the various core directories. Changing this is the key to changing where Nox is located.
3. Web path : This is the directory that contains all the files used by the website front-end to Nox.
4. Logfile path : This directory is used to store the daily Nox logs which contain error data and any other logged information about Nox's activities.
5. Video path : This directory is the root of where all the video files will be stored for Nox.
6. Item path : Nox allows for custom images for items. This directory will be where those files are stored.
7. Report path : Any reports run in Nox will be generated here.
8. Print path : All print files generated by Nox will be stored in this directory, or subdirectories within this directory.
9. Print Templates path : Nox uses templates to generate print files, and will look for these files in this location.
10. Print Queue path : If you are using the Nox print engine instead of Bartender, queued print files will be contained in this directory.
11. Import path : When importing a CSV directly into Nox, the directory Nox will check for the CSV will be this directory.
12. Export path : When exporting information from Nox to another format, the exported information will be saved in this location.
13. External Binaries path : Any external programs that Nox runs apart from itself for any reason will be contained in this directory.
