We can supply you a switch or power injector, depending on your need. However, all PoE devices we sell support the Power over Ethernet IEEE 802.3af specification.

There are several power levels available in a switch:

Cameras: Class 2 (< 7W)

Readers/Interogators - Astra: Class 3 (< 15W)

Readers/Interogators - Impinj: Class 3 (< 15W)

It's important to note the Class 3 requirement. This is considered medium power level and it's actually the maximum power for a standard Type 1 802.3af switch. Many switches can not handle the full Class 3 power requirement and will cause the readers to fluctuate in power and brown-out, essentially. A switch labeled as 802.3af-compliant does not necessarily support Class 3.

All of the switches, midspans, and injectors we sell are Class 3.
